took me about 15 hours for the vector
2 hours for the background (which is loosely based on the original screenshot)
BG is more abstract than realistic
whole thing is 3 layers :D in illustrator

    I love it. Hayate no Gotoku was a long series, and I loved it.
    Funny enough to keep you in, and too many screen shots to want to vector (well, IF I knew how. :D)
