Uhm, hello there! Long time no see...well, it's been a long time for me since I saw this 'submit' button, anyway... >__>
Yes, University is eating me alive so while I'm still barely alive, I decided I should use that valuable time to make a wall. This time, the choice fell on a random scan in a random scan gallery. No, I'm not kidding... XD
Sooo, as usual, vectored the lines, painted the rest. Making that hair almost took away this little life I've got left in me, as well as deciding what to make for a background. First, there was the wall with curtains scene at night...then a tower scene at night (thanks Nysha for the suggestion! XD), then the scan extension until in the end, I got back to the original idea and made the window with curtains and all that jazz. I wanted to keep the weird looking thingy behind him but then it looked too crowded so I decided to remove it (and there went a few hours of vectoring the lines for the damn thing -__-) and add some petals instead. Yes, I'm that original, haha. Added some red glow around the guy, some soft textures and that was it.

This looks great :) Vectoring looks amazing too. Although, I would have preferred a harsher texture on the bricks . . Or maybe outlines that aren't black (the window sill & the curtains). Everything looks a bit too clean compared to you character. But in general, it looks good.

His eyes are cool as well and the curtains too ^^ I think that his hair and shirt are to blured compared to the rest but it's still nice <3 The hair must have taken forever >__>

The glass is very detailed and the vine (I think it's wine, blood?) looks awesome! It's glittering! <333
His shirt looks so silky and like it was painted in sai, ahh I love it!
And the hair also very detailed, you can almost see the life you put in it!
But the glass omg how did you find the nerves/life to vector & paint the glass, it looks so realistic!
And great choice of bg!
And the eyes *zooms in* they are magnificent as always!

i would have preferred to have the background outlineless--since your vector is. the window sill is the main part of this wall that detracts from its quality--its shaded to be too round. the rose petals also feel strange--they are much too long and look too round as well. and i agree with nysha's question although i didnt notice at first :D
i'm not the hugest fan of the color scheme, but i can't well express why i'm not. I do think though that you should have preserved some of that dull colored theme that was in the original scan, as opposed to mixing the whites and beiges with more jewel-tones.
that all being said, i think the painting is quite good on the vector and the wine is cool
