Artist Comment
So, what can I say about this? I'm not too sure really. I really fell in love with the scan, and wanted to do something with it. It was uploaded rather soon after I submitted my last wallpaper, so I didn't really plan on starting anything for a while. However, I found myself working on this as soon as I downloaded the scan and kept working on it until this finished product.
Gilbert Nightray is one of the more interesting characters in Pandora Hearts, and one of my favorites, so it was a lot of fun working on this. I found myself coming come after my drawing classes excited and antsy to work on this wall. Kind of silly huh?
I haven't done any repaints of an image before, so I can imagine I'll only get better at it after this. I redrew the background, putting the two halves of the background together to recreate it in a different fashion for the new orientation of the image. I know a lot of people won't like the heavy black lines that I used on Gilbert, but I think they help the character pop more from the background which is soft and unfocused due to fog.

The painiting is really awesome, all the shades of blue blend together perfectly :) And look at all those little details, wow @__@
The bg suits the character as well, it has such a sad vibe.

*copy paste comment*Another pandora wallie! This one is simple, the bg is kinda plain for me..
but you did a great job connecting the original bg together. The scan used
is nice too though i think your focus here is Gil so maybe try remove those
flowers around his back coz i think it looks kinda optional but overall nice
repaint the scan. +fav! ^^, -
