Hm, this is interesting - I like the painted effect of the pic, it fits the style of the scan very well. But the BG is maybe a bit too "real" - nevertheless, it looks pretty nice to me!

I haven't read Angel Sanctuary, though I did run into some friendly Angel Sanctuary cosplayers at a con once.
I do like the gothic shoujo appearance of the characters, including this silver-eyed widow. You've chosen to emphasize one color, red, in your unreal landscape. It appears very vivid and distinct from the monochromatic features of your character, visually emphasizing the isolation I read in her eyes. I wonder who gave her the rose?
The butterfly helps break up the red grass, but appears especially unreal. Maybe it works that way, I can't decide atm.
