I was experimenting on how to produce rays of light. When I got the effect that I wanted I decided to make a wallpaper out of it. I rummaged through my collection of scans and found nothing. I found this scan of Suiginto. I downloaded started my work.
Another BG problem came because I saw that having just rays of light for a BG is kinda plain and empty. I was thinking of a stained glass BG, but I thought that it wouldnt be proper for the lighting effects that I created so I created curtains at the back part. It was just a matter of motion blur and warping and a bit of smudging and of course vectoring to get the curves. phew! It's done!
Time: 3 days... right after I finish my Black Rock Shooter Wallpaper...I'm too addicted!
Layers: 50+ for Suiginto, 20+ for the curtains and light effects.
Uhmm I hope you like this wallpaper.

....Wow.... I TOTALLY love this. The painting is great ^^ I love gothic lolita's so much! great use of colour too. The BG is perfect cuz you character is already taking over most of the image. It supports it just enough with it's dark tones and wonderfull lighting.

I've always been strangely attracted to walls featuring Suiginto...not sure why, but then again with such high-res pieces like this it's not surprising at all now that I think about it! :)
Choices in lighting are questionable, but I can definitely see the effect you were searching for. Regardless it is a very impressive piece! ^^ -

Hm.. I was deceived, since you used the vector, claimed it as your own, I'm surely sorry I even faved this.
You could've just credited the vectorer instead of wanting all the credits for yourself. -
