About the Wallpaper//

The inspiration for this wallpaper came from a moment in the game Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, where Mio is being chased by a ghost and if it catches you it's instant death (hence the title). The screen goes gray-scale and there is a grainy texture over the screen, so I tried to mimic the look of that particular moment. Since there is a red fog of doom that surrounds Sae (the ghost) when you fight her as a boss later, I used that as my source of color along with the blood. I spent a whole day of solid work on this piece, and several hours of and on with it as well.
I have a serious love hate relationship with this wallpaper... On the one hand, I love the odd angle of the background,
and I had fun dressing it up in photo shop with grungy effects, blood, and a new floor because the original flooring
looked bad. Unfortunately, no matter how I've fought with it I can't seem to get it to a better quality than what it is
now, so if anyone has any tips on that please let me know so I can make it better in that area.

I saw the original pic and I think you did pretty great. I love how it's monochrome <333 The room and partitions are on a perfect perspective~. Plus, it's a great idea to put the fog though at first I thought it was a trail of blood...oh wait, you did put blood stains in mio xD
I wonder... How can Mio make that calm expression when Sae is behind her and blood stains Mio's outfit? O__OOverall,great wall :)

That's a cool wallpaper! after all I played all Fatal Frame games and my favorite one was Fatal Frame 3 but I really like this wallpaper thanks a lot!^_^

OMG I saw a music video to this game on youtube, it looks seriously awesome for a Halloween wall. I love the concept and theme here. I think you did a seriously good job transforming this wall from that pic to this. It looks so clean in my opinion, only problem is that girl that's in the mist. But still I love it, great job Rain-chan! +fav
