ZOMG, it's finally finished! X___x
I think this is my second monochrome wallpaper and my first wall for the Vampire Knight series. I hope it's not the last, but with all the troubles I've had with Yuuki's hair and uniform, I don't think I'll wall another VK scan anytime soon. >__>
Aaanywho, this is my entry for the HalloMono contest here on MT and also my early birthday present for Kuryuki. I hope you like it, dear! :3
About the technical details - well, I've had this idea of Yuuki standing on top of the building (or Cross academy) with some leaves surrounding her and a moonlit night in the background with mountains. I wanted to add the small town in the BG, too but then I figured it would look too crowded so I gave up on that. I vectored the lines, painted the rest, vectored those petals, added clouds and that was it. Took me quite a while. ^^;
Moon and leaves brushes are from DA.

I love the smooth rendering of Yuuki, and the whole concept is lovely ^___^. The pitch black sillouettes of the trees add a lot of drama, and I adore the blood red petals and eyes :). +fav, lovely work!

i personally want to see people get away from the monochrome craze right now but this is an excellent piece. love the intense use of straight black thought i think her face should be a bit lighter. and as always coming from you the hills are a bit too round. same with the shadings on her clothes, some of them are great but some of them are a bit undefined. petals seem a bit long but nothing too distracting

I love the dark colors, you really made them work together well. But I'd like to complain a little bit xD First of all, I think Yuuki's face looks too dark, maybe a lighter gray would be better. I noticed there are quite some jagged lines in her hair too but I understand the pain of jagged lines xD The red adds a really nice touch to the whole sccene but the moon in the bg is not enough detailed and is too white. Try blurring it a bit.
Still, is a great wall ^^ -
The integral colours of vampirism: black - night, white-colour the moon and a pale skin and red-colour blood, though in data cases of petals and a bow... Beauty
