Really nice work with the vector ^^ His hair and skin looks fine to me. And I agree, the texture on his kimono is <3
I really like the thin outline, it looks great!
My main complaint is that it's too dark! The contrast is just so low @_@ I couldn't tell all the pretty details until I fullviewed it >_< Since he's got a candle so close to him, then I think it wouldn't look wrong if it illuminated him a bit more. A bit more shadow on the wall would be nice too.
I love the blinds behind him and the sakura tree is really nice :3
Really lovely wall <3
After a month and half walling hiatus (well, not really.. I DID wall during those time.. I just couldn't finished any of
it ^^; With me being sick for almost 3 weeks and such ^^;), I'm finally back with new wall featuring my beloved
Eisen-sama from the 1st HaruToki! *please don't cry Eisen-sama!*
*cough* Anyways... for a long time, I've been wanting to vector Eisen-sama but I couldn't find any scans that I like. So, when NekoiEchizen posted THIS SCAN, I knew I found the one! >.< He look pweetty isn't he?
Ummm.. I think I start outlining him around 4-5 month ago, and then continued to his eyes and base color.. but kinda stopped after that. I got scared of his hair detailness ^_^' But yeah.. it was last week when I decided to continue and managed to finished it in 4 days time XD For his hair, I decided to left them unpainted (not because I'm lazy, but they look VERY messy). His skins.. I must admit it wasn't the best I can do. I dunno what went wrong, but I just couldn't get it right. So I gave up X-P His kimono gotta be my most favorite ones! Not only the painting went well.. I also added 2 different textures (from HERE), which somehow turn out really well XD (usually suck working with textures ^^)
For the background, although it's a bit different from my original idea.. I think it turn out pretty well. The candle and shoji (with sakura tree) were handmade (LOL) by me, while the background shoji is a brushes from DeviantArt. Ah, before anyone complaining the lightning was off or something, let me apologize first. I honestly had no idea how to do it  I'm really no good at this (joins dame-Tsuna in the corner :( )
Oh, the title actually means, Unyielding Wish, and it's from Magic Knights Rayearth ED song ^^
Well, that's all for now. Gotta go, coz I had a massive headache on the back of my head *and hopefully I can finished one of my UraBoku wall BEFORE the official announcement of it's animation on 24 Aug (or earlier ^^)* ~PAPPI!
Layer's: 63 (eisen), 24 (background)
Duration: unsure, but I think I used 3 days for outlining, 4 days for coloring/painting & another 4-5 days to do the background
Original File Sizes: vector-2221x2349 (63MB), wall-2739x1536 (55MB)
Funnest Part: eyes & kimono
Annoying Part: hair & background ^^;
Tools: Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop CS3, and my loyal mouse ^^

Eevaaaa-chan! Just when I was thinking that I have not seen your work for a long time, *poof*! Here comes another great wallie from you! :)
This elementary teacher is going to give you triple A+ for the background, his awesome hair that reminds me of someone from La Corda (gawsh, I'm beginning to loose my memory) and his oh-so-awesome kimono!

arggh its really nice, but lighting >_> it looks a bit flat right now because the lighting as no depth
and when doing geometric shapes i always think its best if you rough up your lines a bit so they arent so straight
but aside from those things i realy like this :3

*u* His kimono is so pretty.
Only complaint is, the flame shouldn't cast a shadow if it is the light source :/
Besides that, I love it :3

shall comment properly later but it looks amazing ;D
edit: alrighty, I'm really loving this one! XD
The lighting just gives it another feel to it and your vectoring skills are still flawless.
Ahh such crappy comment =_=''''
