Okay, this is for Dev, who is a big fan of bikinis, and girls in them. His challenge, should I choose to accept it, was a wall with a girl in a side-tie bikini, on a beach at sunset, in spastic rasta colors. I chose this particular Tony Taka scan because not only was she wearing a side-tie bikini, the colors were simple enough to modify. And modify I did. I made her softer and less muscular (not that she was a body builder or anything), and tanner. Her bewbs were already larger than her head so no change there, but her nipples were so enormously erect that it looked like she had the caps off 2 litre soda bottles under the bikini top, so those had to go. I used that lovely spastic pattern from Deviant Art, vectored then painted everything, then looked at her hair and cried. She had so much hair! So she has short hair. I think it looks cute and perky with her bikini anyway.

The background was a photo that I painted over, merged down, and then smudged. I had no idea that water could be that hard. But it was. Hard.

    Hm, I dunno...the bg seems too weird for me. Not sure
    what it is about it that makes me think it looks wrong. I think the
    sunset color should be more on the vector, she doesn't blend as much in the
    lighting and colors. I also think her head might be too small for her body,
    just looks tiny compared to her large body thats in the main focus.

    i like orange! anyway, this is not your usual style. because i know you and i know this is for Dev so i am not going to say "i would have..." because i know every bit of it was done on purposes that way because that is what Dev likes. i may not look at scantily clad chicks on a beach all the time but the detail on the bikini is fabulous and the shading on her skin was done very nicely. i like that you did take Kitten's advice and put some sunset color on her skin. the color and shading on the bikini ties turned out very pretty. oh, and the BG isn't weird. she is in a bikini. those go nicely with beaches. it flows well.
