Artist Comment

Since I had time I decided to make another wallpaper and test if I can vector an immage with my left hand Since I'm right handed it wasn't easy ^_^' it took me twice as much time as usual. But I made it X-P
I really liked the scan I used because it's full of everything and after finishing a black and white wallpaper making a colourfull one felt really good. I'm addicted to colors xP
And I couldn't think of a good title so I just went for the first thing I could think of. So maybe it fits maybe it doesn't, it's the immage that counts right? ;)
I don't want to make this too long so.....I hope you all like the wallpaper and as usuall comments and favs are welcome :)

You forgot to sign your wall XD
It's absolutely gorgeous, the vectoring is flawless and the smooth gradients are love!
The guy is also one hell of a bishie too, great job! *3*
Too bad you don't know the artist, I'd like to check more of his/her art.

This is really cool, I love the colors and how their dark but bright
at the same time. I think you did a really nice job on the vectoring and
placing it all together so that it doesn't look too crowded but full.

My only critic is that theres not enough shades in, I would've like to see
a nice blend of more colors on each design. I think with more color it'll look
really nice and detailed more, would also make the designs more lively.
    Great job overall~

wow! so many patterns or stuffs i like the placement of it
especially sakuras, great job on vectoring the scan, though
i agree with kitten about the less shading, it would be much nicer
if add some more shades in some parts but overall love the
concept of the wallie ;) +fav!

o.o Something with the vector seems so fresh to look at. Maybe because of the simple gradient work and the white outlines you've used. Though I somehow feel that some elements look abit disconnected from the others. Like some parts have white outlines, while the others are outline-less or with different colours. But all in all, it looks great as it is now.

The character remembers Kaito from Vocaloid2

Wow, that's a really colorful wall. I like all the details and the colors. Maybe some more shades won't hurt but it's pretty as it is. And the elements are placed together very nicely ^^
You did it with your left hand? That's great, I always vector and paint with right hand even if I'm left-handed. I guess it's just a matter of training xD

Great vectoring! I really like the way you used the colours and you shaded the character. Thanks for sharing ^^

  19. sailorchiron Aug 10, 2009

Very nice work! I like how it almost looks like he's a segment of pattern on a piece of origami paper. The colors are lovely and I like the simple shading. And you did this left handed? I'd never be able to do that. Not in a million years. Good work.

  20. FinalAngelWings Aug 11, 2009

i like it alot^_^ very nice work you got there:))

  21. ScarXHeart Aug 12, 2009

I totally adore the patterns and the guy character. Everything is really neat in the wallpaper. Great work!

  22. Malixa Aug 13, 2009

In this wallpaper, even if the background is really pretty (you did an amazing job there!), the character's beauty is still the main thing that's attracting one's eyes. Usually a really nice and colored background does take from the character's attractiveness but no here. The character and the background fit great! Congrats! *favs*

This is really gorgeous, the soft vectoring (like, the use of darker shades instead of a consistent black for outlines - or in case of the flowers, no outlines at all) is really well done. The gradients are so smart and I wish that I had the skill to work with them like that.
