Pandora Hearts Wallpaper: The Pool of Tears

This wall took a little longer than I had planned (got some serious fever in the middle) but I did get it done in little more than 10 days or so.

I started out because of a suggestion from KiaRatT, asking if I could dothis scene from the Pandora hearts manga (I believe it's from chapter 31 ?) So I went and looked it up ^^ and the moment I saww it I was like OMG This is it!

So I started working on my new little project, all happy and full of ideas ^^ the face was no big deal after my previous Alyss wall, but I kinda had a lot of work constructing the body.
I don(t know if anyone noticed but the Will of Abyss doesn't get a lot of screen time. There's not a lot of art about her either, so I started by going through the last 10 chapters to get a better idea of the body structure of Alice (they're twins after all) and, of course, I had to somehow figure out how I was going to draw Will's dress (it's sooooo pretty ^^ *has a moe fangirl moment* )

So yeah, I basically drew everything myself from the shoulder down. Which resulted in a lot of blood, sweat & tears...oh yeah and -no kidding - a broken left mouse button (I don't own a tablet) LOL

the colouring itself was fun, and took me about 4 days I guess. I got sick right in the middle of work, which caused a 3 day delay...

as for the water on the floor: there's a story behind that one (yeah I'm deep^^)
Everyone knows the story of Alice in Wonderland right? If you don't , well 1) rent the Disney DVD idiots, EVERYONE knows Alice in Wonderland , and 2) You know the scene where Alice is in this room and there's this tiny litlle door she wants to open? (you know the one with the talking doorknob) well it's the scene with the cookie that says "eat me" and she becomes a giant and she realizes she's never going to get home like this and she cries & cries and tears start flooding the room...
Well, That scene just popped into my head and I thought hey, maybe this really fits together^^
Will hears from a young Vincent that Jack has been killed by Glenn and she falls down to the ground in despair and shock ,and as Break calls out to her , Will turns her head and he sees how she has started crying her heart out, flooding the place.

Some technical details:

Original Filesize: Nearly 500 Mb, covering 345 layers in five different files(hair, skin, dress, details, background)
Art style: painting & vectoring
hardest part: the water (never done that before)
most fun: the skin & hair & eyes

custom content: one brush for the cracked floor (you'll remember that Will just single handedly started demolishing the dimension in the manga) that's still visible through the thin layer of water

Thanks again to KiaRatT ^^ and I'm looking for a new shot of Will cuz I'm starting to become the leader of her fanclub by now(why doesn't anyone make a wall about the Will of Abyss?) In the meantime I'll be working on Lotti. Don't wait for a wall any time soon though, I'll be on vacation !
