Even if Charles and Marianne haven't been the ideal parents for their children, they still cared deeply for them, and that is precisely why this picture is just what the ideal ending would have been like.
If this was Charles' ideal world, then Lulu's a fool for rejecting it xD.
(they weren't quite presented like the bad guys at the end of the anime I think, since they wanted a gentle world, and ironically enough, their solution was the bloodless one in comparison with Lulu's and Schneizel's)From which artbook is this, please ? ^^ (I totally fell in love with the image in the special edition OVA)
