It is nice and simple like I like.... I love the border is that a basic brush in CS3? And the crowns in the background. I only use 7.0 so I'm sadly limited... I looked at CS once and it's so different! It'd be like learning 7.0 all over again and you can see my progress on that in my gallery.
My personal preference would be to see an outline around the two of them. That's just something I expect in vectoring in general, one object must be defined from another with outline. They may be long and tedious to do but I always make sure of it. However this is so nicely done, even a Blending Option of a drop shadow would do, just to make them pop from the wall.
