Since vector wallpapers are all the craze these days, I tried my hand at it. Lots of respect to everyone who vector o(_ _)o
Actually I need some help, if anyone would be so kind. How do you do those nice tapered lines, the one that looks better than the horrible 'stroke path' method?
I lost the original scan (sorry), it should be somewhere in the minitokyo gallery. But I suspect that it was a screenshot in the series. The quality was so horrible that I was forced to vector it. Anyway, I drew all of it etc etc. I never knew that trees and hedges could be so painful to draw though the patterns on the gazebo was super fun to do.
The vector took a few days and the background took quite a long time, I did it on and off over a month or so. I put lots of effort into this one haha, so comments, favs, criticisms, etc would be very very welcome.
P.S. Please full view , the thumb did something odd to the shadows.

Nice job, I had a tutorial that can explain it all, how you an make neat lines, I'll look for it and send it to you If I find it.

Such a cute wallie, the background is very nicely done, and yeah trees and grass and all that stuff are a pain in the butt, but you did a great job :) !
For the lines, I basically just treat them like a shape and pentool them like any other shape.
Edit: the tutorials that tsuki-akari linked to should be extremely helpful :)

the only small problem i find with this wall is the trees which i think is too blur.
