i think this wall has tremendous potential, the design is very nice
but there are just a few things that destroy the quality. first, like flying pointed out on AP, the texture is very low
quality. i think texture would look great but unfortunately, this one isnt creating the effect you want. the skin/light
on the skin is way too yellow/green on the color scale, try making it paler and more orange. the designs are interesting
but look low quality as well
the typography could use some glow, since there is glow on the rest of the wall, but this is a more minor issue. some
people might disagree but i wish the "you" werent split like that, its creative in placement but distracting
when you look at it. if you bunch the text together more (lower line-height) i think it would give the text more
movement.
but i think this is a vast improvement from your previous walls, and i'm very glad that i was able to inspire you >D

... SORRY! My last wallpaper, that evil >.< thing NEVER lets me upload it. It never shows on the full-view... why not? I donnow. But, forget that old monstrosity, I'm back with something that was nice to me all day! I'm on a Ghibli rampage and saved a bunch of awesome scans today. I have plans to vector them all after I finished the ones that are listed on my page.
So this wallpaper originally began as a Christmas wallpaper. Why? Because I am feeling Christmas withdrawls. This happens to me every June or July when it's halfway past and to Christmas. I listened to Christmas Carols all day and even when walling this. And, yet, somehow (as always) this is NOT Christmas. Anyhow, I relatively enjoyed making this. The vectoring of this scan - laputa by xelns - was very simple and light and the concept was easy enough and didn't overload me with stress. As for inspiration...
BESIDES CHRISTMAS, I once again drew inspiration for the Ayumi Hamasaki song Memorial Address. This song is so phenomenal in so many ways that I can't articulate it. Just listen and take a look at the lyrics XD And the title You Loved Me draws inspiration from the overall song and the feelings of the protagonist - She didn't know if this person who died loved her truly, but she chooses to believe he did because she wanted to believe so. And so she did.
Again, this is to the stupendous Vitaa! Hope she (and you, too) like it!
