i just read "7th period is a secret" today. as i'm not much into shoujo, i looked for images that made me wanna vector them and found this. jun-chan is really adorable here (and easy to vector).
when i started it i didn't have anything in mind, just wanted to see what came out (and now it gives the impression he's dreaming of summer in the middle of winter :nya: ). and yes, i do know his hair is not light blue. i think i used about 10-12 layers (can't remember since i merged the ones i used on him). time spent: no idea as i don't like to look at the clock too much....

    I think using shape layers for the lines instead of stroke path would be a lot better for the style you're going for
    And yes jun-chan is really adorable ^^ I remember reading it
    I like the style but maybe it's a tad too bright and too bad it' such a small resolution
