I made this wallpaper quite a while ago, just haven't uploaded it until now, I thought it was worth saving since it's basically the best picture I've made since I started using Photoshop..
The start was pretty simple, I had a picture lying around that was filled with with lights with different opacities, I took that, duplicated, transformed, rotated etc. until I got a picture which didn't look too much like the original, didn't want it to look like a simple copy.. It was first a bunch of different colored lights, but changed the whole thing to green instead..
Text part was quite simple too, basically just finding a neat looking style, smash it in and add inner and outer glow, then reduce its fill levels to make mostly just the glows visible and the actualy text not so much.
I finally used some effects, like usual, the gaussian blur, to make a slight bloom effect around the lights, I did the same with the render, to make it really bright in the lit areas so it seems as if the lights of the background really shines from behind him.
I know I use the bloom effect a lot but I like it, it goes well together with most of my ideas :)
I can't remember now where the render is from, but probably PlanetRenders or Photobucket, god my memory is bad, I've gotta remember to write down the sources for feature wallpapers :sweat:
