For my evil companions at EDD!
Whoo, big work spaces rule. Only if you know how to use them that is.
My first time working on a long canvas like this, dualscreen as everyone
calls it. I had alot of fun making this oddly enough, I expected to hate the whole process since her hair is alot more
detailed then my normal ones. But to my surprise it was a fun and easy task to her hair looking so smooth and
flowy.
I needed a bit of help on her hand, so I used a reference pic
and also used reference pics for the flowers. I'm so uncreative when it comes
to making my own flowers and such.
As for the style of shading I used, I decided to fuse both painting
and non cell shade. So her hair and sleeve are non shaded only used gradient,
while her skin, flowers and hand are painted.
Accessories are simple, including her simple tattoo on her neck and
then her make up, tears and painted nails...well those are more like special
features.
Background is a stock and also some of my stuff blended in
and cleaned, then blurred for depth and to give main focus to her.
In case anyone cares, her name is Lilium meaning Lily for those who
don't know.

The neck looks a bit strange to me d: But I love the hair, is so pretty even thou it doesn't have much shading it looks very good, really. I also like the feeling it gives, so expresive. And there foes my crappy comment but I really like it, cept the chubby fingers, I have something against chubby figers in general xD

well critiques critiques: the painting needs to be more highlighted, her shoulders esp should be highlighted rather than shaded on the side. more shades essentially >D
although i feel that this would have been really nice with some cellshading in the hair
and the colored lines, i cant help but feel her eyes are too light and the hair color should be deeper
