Wallpaper made for First King of the Chamber contest
The vector itself was pretty easy but I had one problem.
Flames were made along with the vector, around 80% or less occapacity, I don't quite remember anymore. The character was
originally Primo (Giotto) but I changed him to Tsuna, since they look alike I didn't have to change all that much except
the glove which was a pain. I even had to do some research for it. I also used some gradient at some parts and the blue
lighted part on his glove was done with the Mesh tool.
For making the wallpaper itself, I've been playing around for hours to get the background done and a lot of epic failure from me. I was able to make a base when I first stopped with the Photoshop part. A friend of mine also helped me with some things but it didn't help much in the end. I got pissed at certain stuff, it really got on my nerves. The next time I got on it, I started adding clouds and a lot of filters to get the colors right. I don't quite remember after that except adding 60% color saturation and clouds for extra effects since the original full colored one pained my eyes. As for my friend that added extra lighting to the flames and such, I got rid of them. They standed out too much except one thing for the gloves and I added some extra things to it to make it glow blue.
The text also costed me some time, I have thought about not putting any text in it but it was kind of empty. I tried a lot of things but most didn't work. I wanted to use 'The Flame of Resolution' at first but it was too long to get it decent. I've also put the title in the background two times to make everything connect better. When it ain't there and just the front text, it was kind of loose from the rest.

Time spent: 14-20 hours I actually lost track of the time because I've done it all spread over about a week.
Programs used: Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator CS4
I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome since I've been killing myself for some parts.

Nice job with the vector thou I see some leaks, and you should ttly switch to fill paths cause it gives you the possibility to make smoother lines. The background is very nice, I like it. I wish the flames were better looking thou, but shame on me I can't really help you there cause I never did flames.
I was planning on vectoring this sometime, but I thought I should wait maybe vitaamin will take it on. >__>Good job nevertheless. I wish you good luck with future projects too. See ya.
