Edit: Forgot to mention, I had an idea for making
a short series of originals that came with a emotion as a theme.
This is the first theme, Hopeful.
After a few weeks of encouraging and asking, my friends
have cheered me up enough to make an original.
Alrighty, it's pretty simple to see what I did. But lets recap, shall we...
Painted, Vectored and extracted. I started by sketching it, used
some references for help. Been awhile since I've made one so I'm alittle
rusty. I used some anime scans for the hands and some lines on the body.
It helped to finish my sketch up and finally look good enough for me to start coloring.
Took me about a day to line and then another to color,
and a day to do the bg so all together thats 3 days of work.
Coloring was alright, picking colors was a bit time consuming and I might
have changed them like 5 times before being happy with them.
After that all, I painted and vectored the bg. All the brushes
are homemade except for the birds and the tree branch on the side.
Those are lovely brushes found on DeviantArt - Birds & Trees.
The flowers are extracted from scans, the one on her is extracted
and painted over. The brick is from a Chobits scan, helped me to make the lines
on the bricks and then I painted it. Other things such as clouds and other trees are made by me.
Finally the final touch, petals, clouds and shine from the sun.
The title is my way of seeing relationships and happiness in general.
We all have an hourglass that comes with each person, I think we all have a certain time to be with each person we have
in our lives. I think no matter how long a person stays with us, eventually all time runs out.
