I ruined the scan's beauty. >_>
Inspirations came from the intermission screenshots from the 3rd season, and also from this Yoshitoshi Abe scan. I wanted it with not-so-heavy texturing, a quite minimal abstract background, and to look like an old painting. The idea for the blood (from her hand) came out suddenly while I was painting the background. And then, it turned more bloody then I thought from the splatter texture. It's cool though. I loved red, and it really made a striking scheme with yellow and brown. Though it took awhile for me to find the font for the Japanese calligraphy.

I like the idea of the blood from her hands, and the textures. Though I think the texture over Ai's hair is a bit too much, could do with less splatters and more black ('cause Ai's black hair is awesome XD)
