I figured I'd submit this here a bit early, because around their actual birthdays, I'm going to be rather busy (and I think they're rather busy right now... but...)

I first joined Minitokyo at the end of version 2, with the levels and stuff (kudos to you if you remember that). I was
only 11, and I loved seeing all the sparkly scenic wallpapers. I really miss that sort of stuff here. The people who
were at the top of their game were Phamthuha, Nolove, Semanga, Chichiri... they were my idols that inspired me to wall.
As ridiculous as it sounds.
Now I nickname this "era" of MT the "Vector Revolution", hahahahhaa xD. you don't see nearly
anything that hasn't been vectored or painted (like I can talk), but you kind of miss seeing the stuff you
initially started walling for? I dunno... just rambling... I missed EXTRACTING
images from scans, hahahaha xD. The time of walling when it was all about creating the right sky and making sure your
extraction was flawless...

but onto the actual wallpaper.
I found this scan, and thought it was brilliant. The colours were gorgeous and vibrant :D. I've justed started watching R2 (yeah, way late into a fandom Aqi) and was like "EEEEEH ROLLO AND LELOUCH AND SUZAKU MY FAVOURITESSS". So I extracted it and shoved it onto my canvas. Then I used this background scan for the clouds, and painted them for the first time. I'M SORRY THEY'RE SO TERRIBLE ADVICE PLEASE XD.
Then I played with some textures! The obligatory texture from DA! desktop anime and aethereality, and my favourite sparkle brushes! Haven't seen those for a while, eh? I think some of the textures were a bit harshly overlayed on Suzaku, but he's supposed to look sinister xD. this took about a full day? Spread over a week.
I'M WORKING ON THAT KHR THING GUYS. YAMAMOTO AND HIBARI AREN'T CO-OPERATING.

lol i dont think they are too colorful, but i do think they are a little too orange, some pinks and blues would have been nice on the characters + less contrast on their clothing, use gradients in separate layers--its easier to control this way >D
but gosh i love that sky and this is pretty old school >D -

Ahem, back to the wall XD Hey, you totally read my mind. Vector is so overrated these days. And I really miss the non-vector era of MT back then =( Now it's almost like, oh brilliant vectors straightaway go into the Elite Gallery. Brilliant wallpaper but NO VECTOR? Meh, sorry, can't enter. Just because a wallpaper hasn't been vectored doesn't mean that no effort has been spent on it.
What happened to those days huh?
And I really love those clouds! Just heavenly. The colours are so soft and warm. MWAHAHAHHA finally found another new wallpaper for her desktop! >D

Extracting the images was always a pain in the ass and it kind of was almost like a duty to make a gorgeous sky with or without extremely fluffy clouds. I kinda miss this nowadays. But you brought them back, the memories. Makes my decision to finally get active again after my finals stronger. :D -

you totally speak out what i always think, when visiting MT =_= and that's why i'm personally against it to wall a 100% vectored wallpaper! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA scenic WALLIES 4 EVER!

The Other thing that attracted me about this wall are the GORGEOUS colors! oh my... those are awesome! :) How you managed to get those clouds from That background scan is beyond me ( <- newbie ) but hell they're soo beautiful. The colors, .. i just feel like staring at them.. they are like the aororas.
Now, I also like the balance in the wall. The 3 characters have been positioned extremely well. and i like the overall composition, good thing they also rotated at a perfect angle.
And the First thing that attracted me about this wall is pure fangirl-ness. Lelouch's expression.. wow! look he beckons us! yay! hahaha... +fav

Ahh this brings back the memories. XD I like to make walls like this every once in awhile because you are right I miss EXTRACTING rather then just vectoring all the time. And in this case you picked a good scan because the quality is still great even though it's not a vector. The characters look so "old skool wall" though. XD I think your sky is different from the skies that people made back then. I like all the gradients you used in it and the light beams. I wish I had some advice on the clouds but I'm still trying to figure out how to do them myself. ^^; Hahaha, now I have this huge desire to go make a EXTRACT wall. XD
