Ahh, how lovely. This painting depicts a sunrise over a rural landscape and a small town built on the horizon. The stratocumulus clouds obscure the sun, and slight meandering roads crisscross the meadows.
I imagine the placement of the town on the distant horizon with the sunset may suggest that it too is part of a passing moment.
