Dark, sad looking wallpaper...

I've always design this type of sad wall after a few fun and energetic typed wallpapers ^_^'
More like ... um.. a habit? XD
Tee-hee ^_~

This wall...
Have a rather high contrast between the chara and the bg.
I have already tried to level, curve and variate her,
but this is the best I can do. (at least for now)
That's why I choose a dark bg to compensate the entire visual effects XD

Well, um, have you realized the darkness within you? XD j/k j/k :D

    That is possibly one of my favorite things about gothic-type animes, the mood it gives. Its a darkness/evil-ish type feel and I love it, and this background captures it and sends shivers up my spine. I espically love the lighting on her face, and in the windows, giving us the real time effect of sunlight shining through and reflecting off her face. That is so VERY beautiful done. She does look very sad, and thats too bad too. BUT! Its Tsukihime, sadness galore ^.~, j/k I really loved the anime. Anyways the background is VERY well done and I really think you did a great job giving this such a deep mood as well. Aoi never seems to fail to amaze me with her amazing talent. Great job Aoi (I'll shut up before she gets annoyed with me ^.~) This is a definate favorite for me.

    This is Akiha, am I right? This is a new perspective of her that I never seen b4. What I remember from the animation was that she didn't have much facial expression. Her sad looks are really becoming. Very good drawing. The room also conveys the same sad and lonely atmosphere.
