Actually this wall was REALLY a pain in the ass.....
I decided a long time ago to do this for christabel-chan as a present cause it seems
that you actually like it ;)
Well...the vector was EASY compared to the bg
I had no idea what I could do with the bg and was really desperate! T_T
First I experimented with it and well...it didn't turn out really nicely
but thanks to Kit-chan there are these lovely puppies now! XD

The backgound is very nice like this. I like the idea. As for the girl's hair you could add just some highlights in the lower part of her hair and it would look great. The painting is very good also.
The only thing I'd remove are those brushes, in the corner and the middle on the curtains, I think they're an extra that's not needed. I like the version with the sky too, but this one is more original and more fitting. Great job =D -

well agree with jns about the hair, but i would like more saturated colors, because i think you tried to make them in a dark room right? the shading should start out black then more saturated then less saturated. and i think the curtain behind them washes them out. just add a gradient of orange or something below the black and set it on overlay/color dodge or i dont know which ever one looks good :D
