Well this started after watching Ga-rei-Zero and spotted this scan and with it capturing a great moment.
So working on this vector i knew was going to take time and effort to do it especially since it's was my first time
vectoring more then 2 characters in one Wall!
Kept it releative to the style of the scan with the main focus of the two girls and their spirit beasts about to go head
to head in their battle. First go at creating fire for the background, hope it looks ok and a soft texture.

You've done a pretty good job with the scan.. The vector is nice though a bit more detail wouldn't hurt...

Awesome work. I like this wallpaper a lot. Both the colors and texture are fantastic. I agree with jns about the vector though. A little more detail would make this wallpaper go from great to excellent. What I think would help is work on the line art and use thick and thin vector shapes like you did on your last wallpaper "Red Fusion." Nice job on the fire by the way, it came out really well.
