About the series: Ga- Rei series is a work by Segawa Hajime. The manga currently has 8 volumes (Dated on 28th Feb 09) and the anime series has been completed.
Note:The Anime series is kinda like a prologue to the manga. Well, we are expecting a 2nd season, but who knows?

Aye, he's in the last episode of the Anime. He's the main character of the Manga, along side Kagura.
