Looks like you traced off the face and not the rest... her pull-over's crinkles seem too much simple, while her face, especially her eyes, is very detailed. She has a wrinkled skirt in the usual way... and the white cross isn't like this one. It was a good idea, perfect coloring, but it's not coloring which makes a drawing good. The lineart is more important, and it needs work here. Don't hate me for this comment, but I drew Rin many times (with my hands, not with a computer), and yours has a cute face !
Artist Comment
This is my first ever completed doujinshi, so... well, I'm expecting advices here and there. ^^;
The image features Rin Tohsaka from Fate/Stay Night, with style inspired from Naoto Tenhiro's Sister Princess. Much of her face is modeled after Tenhiro-sensei's drawing - and it is highly inspired by Sakuya's character.
I find it fun to do the coloring, however, making the artline from scratch is rather... inconvenient (I vectored it using mouse X-P ). So, in the end I have to consult to stock photographs: whether the perspective is OK, whether the shape is OK, etc., etc. As I'd recall the artlines consumed most of the time. :-/
All done in about a week, sharing time with offline activities. Didn't track the exact time - but I think it's somewhere between 21 to 30 hours.
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2
