This is actually my first attempt for merging real scan with vectorize bg and first time fuse gimp (2.6.4) and
illustrator
scan taken from here
firstly i crop the character first then all vector (swirls only^^) render to png and place in gimp, make the silhouette
and make pinkish sunset with gradient^^
at first i try to find castle image but i make another approach on modern city+old city silhouette
i don't use text into it cause it looks ugly from my perspective :D
i know that this is just standard and simple wall but at last i learn to blend image^^
any comments and critics always welcome
