I've been working on this wall a very long time.
I think it must have been 2 months overall ^^
The art of Okami (I don't know the game) is wonderful.
It has something special to me and I've always loved it.
But I didn't wanted to make a wall with that wolf, although I love the different poses of him a lot.
So I browsed through the scans of Okami at AP and found the one with the bird.
The vectoring was fun but also frustrating. The wings were the hardest part cause of all the little feathers and such. The coloring was fun and the easiest part of the vector.
Well the background was done before I started the vectoring. Normally it's so that I start with a vector and think about the background later. But this one came right into my head.
After vectoring the bird I put a paper texture over the hole wall. I played around with the layers style until I decided for the current style.
All in one it was fun making that wall.

Okami was one of the best games I've ever played! I loved the graphics and the as you said, the art. Thank you for this wallpaper! I don't quite remember the fire bird, but it sure looks great! =)
