uwah i feel so special :nya: i've never had my name mentioned in something that wasn't mine b4! it truly is an honor! Thx Ani!

And it's beautiful! The wallie came out great. The colors are gorgeous and mix so well. And the lines are smooth as can be xD It rlly pulls u into that sweet romantic moment!

And the water looks just fine, have no worries on that one.

I agree with christy-chii that because they are in a dark place they shouldn't be so bright, however, seeing as they are in clothes not suited for sitting in the water xD *looks like they fell in there* it doesn't look totally out of place because it's a scene. Like maybe someone went to look for them or there're lights and people nearby? xD

if not that, because the moon is so bright and is causing the water to shine (which is a gorgeous effect) that could be why they're not dark.

Either way, I guess what I'm trying to say is that the wallie is beautiful xD i luvs it. and i honestly don't see any need to change it unless u 4 some reason feel u need to!

    it ish awesome! :nya: *favs*

Me neither, Thank you so much Ani! :D

Your wallpaper came out terrific! I remember seeing your vector in process and was wondering what you'd come up with the background. What you did come up with is absolutely beautiful. I don't think the water looks terrible at all, I think it looks really realistic (well anime realistic XD ) and came out well.

The atmosphere is also very romantic, which is something that I love.

Your hard work really payed off, this wallpaper came out really beautifully Ani! :)

T_T omg thank you ani! i can tell you spent alot of time on this (unlike me i never spend time on anything >.>). my gosh how did you do the water ._.

i disagree, i think its always better to have the colors more brilliant for a wall, even if its a night. although maybe you want to desaturate the skin a bit.

    wahhhh <3333

Yay, you've done it! And thank you so much for the dedication. ^^ I don't get them often. :)

I like the colours and the romantic feel.. Your idea is nice too. Vector is clean, except for one lock of his hair.. And yay for returning to D-o-S!

    Now comes the how-this-could-be-better part:
Like Christabel says, it probably would look better if it was darker in the foreground. After all, the moonlight is shining behind them so the shadows should be towards the front. (Hey, haven't I gave this advice somewhere before?)

The water is good for a first attempt! I know it can be hard... it was, for me, the first time. Like, damn, I'm smudging too much, what's this strange patch.. Anyway, the water looks best at the distance, but just so you know, it would look better darker at the front, and darker still where the couple are submerged. Oh, and the tree's reflection? Just take a thick, soft brush (low flow, opacity) and paint over and smudge. Skinny looks a bit off.. sorry.

In fact, I would recommend, if you're not in the mood to do much changes to it, is that you just change the image adjustments for each layer. Darken and deepen certain colours (like those in the trees and the water), maybe drag the colour balance for the highlights in his hair to more yellow, the shadows more blue..

I hope I didn't offend you. It's just there's potential in this wall, and I want it to look even greater. ^_^' If you don't understand.. leave me messages at my gb, and when I have time, I'll get back to you. I'm a bit busy, but I'll make time. :)

@Scott : ...I'm insulted, Scott, you forgot the two dedications I gave you so quickly? D: Naaahhh, just kidding. XD

for the water reflections, try copying what is going to be reflected, and then reflecting it horizontally(?), use perspective transform, and then smudge. Also, where the boy and the girl meet the water, try not to have outlines there. have the water sort of over them... as it is it kinda looks like they are floating over the water two dimensionally. Kinda weird. Looks fine in the large thumb, but actual sized it's weird. Or maybe just have the outlines match the swirlies on the water. But yeah, water is hard, so... :p

Also, as others have mentioned, if the shadows on the front of the figures are stronger and they glow around the outlines kinda, the lighting would be more accurate. Also, at least the bottom of the clothes should be darker since its wet?

I like the bright colors actually. :)
And the water itself is pretty cool, the only problem I see with it is how it interacts with the other objects. :)

  12. Sinever Jan 09, 2009

    WOW
so this is the wall you've working on :D
