Happy New Year 2009!

Dedicated to Kitten, Kairi-Hearts, Omone, Abul, Minamiyukihimenonaka, Straawbeerryy, tsuki-akari, YoruAngel866, I might be forgetting people since my brain is fried, gomen...I wish you all a happy and wonderful 2009 and want to thank you for all the friendship and support you gave me in 2008! YATTA. Finished one hour before midnight! What timing. I went crazy trying to finish this vector. I left work early, stayed up all night, etc etc...I'm so exhausted right now! I should have started earlier :P But New Years completely snuck up on me! I almost cried of happiness when I finished this XD And it doesn't even look that big :o

For me the New Years vector is the most important vector of the year. Not only is it my last one of the year, but by finishing it on time I'm showing to myself and everyone that vectoring is still an important thing in my life. And maybe a time will come when the New Years vector is the only vector I'm able to finish in a year...(I hope not!) but I hope to keep this tradition for a long time.

Of course I chose this image. I chose it as soon as I saw it. Not unexpected ne? I compare it to my vector last year "Night of the Festival". But that one actually took longer. Anywho I love vectoring Clannad (especially the eyes!) so I loved working on this. The gradients killed me a bit. There was just too many and that probably slowed me down :P I just keep saying thank goodness it's done...

The background is from the scan. I planned to paint it all nice but had no time whatsoever so just some touch-ups and painting and hoped for the best. Maybe I'll get around to doing it properly. (Also hope to have a plain-background version available soon.)

There were just fireworks outside my window but I didn't even notice until the end because I was so caught up in the vector XD
