Another year, another Princess Tutu wallie < 3
I was talking to Dev a few days ago,
and we realized that I made a few PT wallpapers around this time, last year;
then, I though it would be nice if I had a custom of making a PT wall every
December ^^ So, I got to work.
The wall took a few hours to make, spread across a few days. My only fear was that I'd get caught up in school projects and forget about it, but I didn't! After digging through the Princess Tutu screenshots folder, I came across this pretty image and decided to use it - I'm working on another Princess Tutu project, but I figured that one will take longer (since it's more difficult), so I went with this one to make sure I could make it in time; looks like I did! Now I can console myself with the thought of not having to do the other one until the next December *sigh of relief*
The easiest part was vectoring Ahiru. Unlike my other PT walls, I decided to
paint the shadows, so only the outlines and the base colors are shape layers. I
think it came out pretty good, for someone who sucks at painting ^^"
After I finished Ahiru, I got to work on the background, the most difficult
part. I was too lazy to draw a background and didn't have inspiration for one
anyway (and can't draw one if my life depends on it *cough*), so I went hunting
on SXC and came across this image.
It resembles Ahiru's ballet school in a way, so I figured I'd use it. Then I
tilted it, painted a bit, filtered the hell out of it and added some mist and
snow (which looks crappy, I know).
