This was a pretty big project. I first saw this scan and loved it. The girl is so pretty I wanted to make a wallpaper of her. I was originally going to use the original background and repaint over it, but I kept messing up (spent literally all day on the failed version). So I decided to make my own background. I kept it sort of monochromatic using all shades of purple... Everything in the background is made from scratch: painted water and made planets following a tutorial.

hmm i really like the deep colours used in this picture. the consistency in the use of purple is really really effective in bringing out the depth of this picture. very nice. i like it! Kudos!

What a very purple wallpaper! I love the effects you used, the background, the vector and even the size of the wallpaper! I love the effect you used in the moon(the one that is glowing) but somehow, I find it weird. But that's only my opinion.. :) But by the way... everything's been done simple, clean and soothing to the eyes!

Great vectoring, and thumbs up for the background - I think choosing this simple one was definitely the best choice, because something more complex would make the girl less visible.
