Happy Belated Birthday to kitten and Happy Early Birthday to kairi-hearts! Sorry that you two had to shared the gift ^_^' I'm kinda busy, and didn't have much time x_x

Vector #96

About Vector:
Layer's: 48
Time: around 14-15 hours
Funnest Part: outlining
Annoying Part: coloring (esp her dress!)
Original Image: HERE

Wow! It's my first CLAMP vector. And honestly, I'm kinda proud of it. And it wasn't as hard as I first thought ;) Actually, I've never planned doing this vector. I just finished outlining Watanuki, and thought maybe I could do something else before start coloring him. My choice is obviously Sakura or Sakura with Syaoran. But most of their scans together has been vectored, so I choose Sakura instead (since I already had Syaoran unfinished vector -_-).

Anyways, like I said, the vector wasn't really hard as it looks like. I had so much fun doing the outlines, which took me around 6-7 hours. But I know the real deal is with the coloring... and I was right. Starting from her hair, to the golden things on her dress to her flowing dress... I almost tear up my hair. Really. But yeah, I guess I'm a little lucky, coz this one isn't too colorful X-P

The title, which means "Neverending Dreams" is from Inuyasha opening songs. My original idea is to use "Dream" or "Wish" for the title, and I'm glad I found one!

Oh yeah, I've also been debating to post this as wallpaper or vector.. but in the end, vector wins. But, if you resize it to 1920, you'll get widescreen sizes :nya:

EDIT: Kit-chan & Yoru-chan mention about the flatness on the petals, so I use two different brushes, and add "satin" & "inner glow" to bring out the petals. I wanna put a "shadows", but it doesn't seems right. But with "satin" & "inner glow", it wasn't that flat anymore! Thanks girls! >.<

I'm always coming across this scan and
I was wondering when someone would vector it :3
It's such a beautiful image of Sakura, she's got so many
but I'm fond of all the big, difficult ones. The detailed outfit
must have been such a pain, looking at it makes me frustrated already
    thinking of the vectoring. x3

I'm loving how you did her hair, it's so full of color
and shines out in great color...reminds me of those hair commercials XD

If I could throw in a suggestion maybe adding some shadows
to the petals might also give it a nice finishing touch. Maybe using the burn
tool for each or simple adding a Inner Shadow to them on the Layer Option.

Thanks for the gift Eeva, it's beautiful and it's going straight
to my folder of gifts <3

    fantastic vector :D

  9. Straawbeeryy Nov 20, 2008

Omg, I can`t believe you said this is fun. I would die doing all those ovals. -.-"
I had planned to do this scan but of course, I never got to it. I would`ve been so frustrated. I`m not all too sure if I like how you changed the colors of the circles on her necklace and neck.
But it shouldn`t matter since this vector is just lovely. Beautiful job! <33

that scan of sakura is gorgeous! and it's funny, it seems like after we finish a clamp vector we feel proud of it! it was the same with my kobato one ^^
I can only imagine the frustration it was to vector all the details, to color, and all those petals too
but in the end, it turned out really awesome.
It's beautiful, I've always loved your way of coloring and it's, once again, great!
oh I can't stop staring at it >.< my comment is longer than usual too!
