SHIN IS SO HOT --FANGIRL SQUEEEAAAAAAAAALLL-- i mean i want to marry him, or actually i want to marry ren, but have illicit relations with shin. i know i know hes like 16 but still hes hands down my favorite character from nana(i mean come on kanata hongo plays him in nana 2 <333). and i wanted to vector more bishies so here it is =]. i'm sure there are better scans but i just stumbled across this one and started. btw that girl is some rando BLAST fangirl.. not really a character in the manga =]. on an unrelated note: omg those lips are to dieeee for. i love yazawa's art

oh my look at my first attempt at an abstract wall. well ok its not too abstract but this is the best i could do! i really wanted to try 1) abstract 2) subtle shading. i wanted to make something romantic with a tad of whimsy on the side =]. i dont know if its that whimsy but i think its pretty romantic ^^.
the most painful thing about doing a nana scan, esp with shin & reira, is the LINEART for the hair. it takes forever and i had to do it twice. i was going to replace the girl with reira but honestly i vectored her hair once and it took like 5-7 hours JUST for the lineart--forget about coloring. i am loving the subtle shading though since its doesnt requires hours of patience, esp for that hair. and once i was done shin looked incomplete so i had to reconstruct part of his jacket. it still looks kinda odd but its the best i could do =]. and i am aware her eyes are weird but i didnt know what else to do T_T usually i never have problems with eyes
the background is done with lots of different colored circles at different blending modes. it was quite fun. and yay i used my own brush for the leaves (sad i know). and don't hate on the text! lol jk jk, i'll post an alternate version although i do think its plain without the text
also all favs are really appreciated XD but i'm getting too backed up from giving thank you cards. but THANKS IN ADVANCED

The image is so sweet and loving - ah, romance. :DI like the text. It's really neat what you did with it (to me, it looks like it could a ribbon attached to the flowers in her hair).
The background is marvelous! I love the colors, the composition, and most of all the feeling it adds to the wallpaper. It's quite serene.
Overall, this is a fantastic wall. The background is great, and the vector is superb (I love the subtle shading). And most of all, I love the colors..... boy, are those colors amazing together. *.*
