maybe because they were allies (The three major Axis powers - Germany, Italy, and Japan in the 2 world war) and because they both had horrible camps. or maybe it is just the kinky look! ;-) Ok I think it's just the kinky part! :-)))) the uniforms are generally very slick and elegant (in the style of dark, sadistic rephinement). It just sounds like kaori yuki....and the replacement of green with black...yack..gives you the shivers!
