love your vectors, they're not as sharp as they usually are with others, and the colors are always pleasing to the

as promised, finally a more detailed project! i am so happy kuroshitsuji finally got a category of its own!
this was meant to be my real submission for the dark-wallie's contest but it didnt really turn out as creepy as i
originally intended =[
and the lighting effects and final touches of this wall were thanks to kit-chan's help! arigatou! you always help me so much XD

THE VECTOR | so this is a combination of two manga scans, you know the ones found in the first few pages ish. except sebastian who is taken from a page in volume 9. I absolutely loved coloring this and i finally actually sat down and took the time to paint instead of just smudging randomly. i even used the eraser tool and such to fix mistakes! although if you think some parts are just pure black, they probably are (like grell's pants and ciel's jacket.) there's no painting there =]. there was also a good amount of reconstruction needed to finish up some of the charas (you wont believe how hard it was to make grell's knife.) in retrospect maybe ciel is too big and tall, but too bad XD. and i was going to remove the blood but i had already flattened it so too bad
THE BACKGROUND | the vectored background is not nearly as detailed as i wanted it to be, i wanted roses in the shelves and some creepy dolls on the ground and maybe a curtain but i got lazy obviously. ten thousand filter/blending effects later, i got the wall to look like it had some depth (its really harder than you think to get depth into 2 dimensional things). most notably, outerglow, emboss, gaussian blur (of course) and lightening effects render. also used a glass filter to imitate the windows. i was going to do lightning but you would not believe how hard it is to do. i think the frame color is off but believe me i tried many many colors --"
OTHER COMMENTS | omg i love sebastien with glasses. he was hotter in the scan though T_T. i have such a weakness for dark twisted glasses-characters. and ciel frowns too much so i made his smile somewhat more evil which fit better i think =]. i realized later that madam red wears red but i thought it would be too much with all the red on grell

it's beautiful and dark but don't blame me for not knowing who these characters are. First thing I said when I looked at it was
"UwAH! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!"

I might have people disagree with me on this, but I really, really like the border around the entire wallpaper, with the attached flower and title of the piece. It makes the already nice wallpaper more polished and classy. Don't be afraid of text and borders, people!
I personally think it's probably creepy enough with the eerie graves that can be seen through the window, and the blood on the bottom of some of their outfits. If you're concerned about it though giving them a more shadowed look might help- kind of like they are standing in a dark room or something. I think it looks nice as is, though.

The only thing that bugs me just a tiny bit is the border...i think it would have looked nicer without it...see how it cuts Grell's hair?

Overall it looks pretty good. I just think those books on the bookshelf (it that's what they are) look more like rolls of silk rather than books since they look very cylindrical.

Nice, with or without the border. And it's a refreshing change not to have Madame Red all in red. She must get tired of all that red anyway.
