so dietrich and isaak are.. really really good looking and this scan of them was absolutely beautiful. as always, i love doing outlines so i spent alot of energy on the lineart, but in the end i feel like the lines are a little too straight in some parts so it looks strange. so i made the image a little smaller.
i HATE doing shadows and rushed the ones on dietrich so they arent as nice as i wanted them to be. Also the highlights in their hair were a pain to do and i didn't really want them to glisten the way they did in the scan. i feel like i blurred everything in the picture a little too much ~_~
about bg: i wanted to add more detail on the cigarette because i love smoking... and of course guys who smoke xD--i think the smoke wisp came out ok but i might rework it. the rose was a bit tough to vector at first and i originally wanted them in a darker setting, like under an archway or something, but i couldnt find a sketch that i liked enough. and then i already spent so much time doing the rose that i didnt want to waste it --".
extra effects used: angled strokes filter on the roses, used a gradient overlay and gaussian blur to create the cigarette light, nothing too complex.
