i love carnelian and i just fell in love with original scan which was very beautiful :nya: especially since
it's Mizuna and Suzuna :)

sleepless beauty is a song from anime gravitation
now what i did:
1. cropped the scan :D
2. remade the clothes and hair in the middle cause there was stupid leaf
3. made color changes (you can see on their hairs)
4. added patterns because of the image quality :)
5. time 1.30 h and 14 layers
this is also my first time making scan wallie, and i absolutely like what i did

I think the scan is very nice, one of my favorite
character design from Carnelian. However the amount of texture
and effect really overcrowds it and gives it a low quality look.I think it all would have looked better without so much
texture and effetcs on it, and perhaps if it was vectored
it could look twice as better. -

XD Haha, at first I wanted to make a Suzuna/Mizuna wall for you and your sis, then changed my mind and made separate walls ^_^'
Also deleted the project although I finished the outlines :sweat:This would look better with a paper texture, it would give a noisy/grungy look.
Except that, the wall is pure love <3
I love what you did with the colors, lowering the saturation of that blue, blue hair >.<XD I want Kouichi too =___=

I adore Carnelian excluding her ecchi things. Her character design is just awesome.
It`s nice to try out new things once in a while so it`s okay. :D Though I do need to point out how heavy the texture is since I`m not a big texture fan. I also love what you did with the colors. It really looks much better this way. -

@ kantastic: i also think carnelian is mediocre, but probably because i hate that shiny cutsy anime girl look. sure the arts looks like it took alot of effort but the result to me doesnt really have any artistic merit, its just kinda there
anyways onto your wall, i agree with kitten that if you had at least vectored the outlines this wall would look better (even though you said you didnt want to vector this --")
i like the idea of texturing the shadows but i think for it to work better you should have played more with the brightness/contrast to make the hair darker, otherwise since you didnt vector the outlines it does look over textured.
but i think it looks much better in this color scheme than in the original. maybe thats because i hate cutsy anime girls and bright colors but anyways. good job!
