ooomigosh... i never knew that trying to do a 'clean' sketch would be so incredibly difficult.. I spent like 3 hours on the picture... much longer than i've done in my life.. To those of you out there who do this for a living.. i salute you!
anyways the �¥ï¿½ï¿½�§?(...) on the pic is a person's name, whereby the �§ï¿½ï¿½ means swallow.. so i guess you can say that the person i did it for is a swallow... *laugh* (ok.. that was a bit lame... XD)
Ok.. to the point now.. the pic was done in pencil for most part, then scanned into my comp at 300 pixels/cm2. i then changed the colour of the sketch using the alpha channels. The pattern creation was straight forward enough to not warrant any discussion and the textures were taken from riot gear (a royalty free resource DVD).
