Cool song! :D hehe. well... I don't think that the black outlines really match the fabric all that much, makes it look
kinda stiff, like denim or something without the texture. (dn\unno mutch about fabrics lol)
the pillows could be more fluffy looking, I think.
But the simple design is cool.

Finally I managed to finish a wallpaper, lately I had kinda trouble finishing the stuff that I started.
Lol as you can see my wall features a Sailor Moon character, I loved that show when I was little. It's also a wall for Depths of Sound.
My inspiration is an anime song this time, Borderline from Macross Plus. I wanted to try and recreate the seductive feeling of the song, I had some trouble finding a fitting scan though because I didn't want the scan to be so much "in-your-face". In the end I stuck with this scan and I think I can applaud Naoko Takeuchi for this work because she managed to make a character wearing odango look kinda alluring and sexy.
Scan was vectored the shadings were vectored and then smudged/painted. The background was kind of complicated, I hope some cushions and much simplicity is allright wih you guys. The font I used is called Bucephalus.
Other resolutions: 1600x1200 | 1280x1024 (no font because I couldn't fit it in)
All comments and favs are greatly appreciated. :)

Ah, How I love SM.
Great vectoring and background, the darkness of it
and colors mix very well with her. I love how you made
the purple blanket I think it is, very great job on it all. -
She was called "Dark Chibi" or so I think >_<

Hi there!
Nice wall again. :)
The vector is awesome as usual and I really like the way you've colored/painted it. The smoke is beautifully done! I also like the cushions and the colors you've used, but I'm not very sure about the background itself >_<
The environment you've created is suitable to your purpose, but I think I'd prefer a clearer distinction between what I believe is a bed (its format confuses me) and the wall.
Anyways, good job! Keep up with the good work.
Sorry if my comment is not very nice, but I'm kind of sick today and I can't seem to find the appropriate words... Gomen, ne... ^_^"
Ja... ;) -
great wall. I was never a fan of SM and I hated her character, but I did watch the arch where mini moon turns evil, and she is actually more interesting then. Beautiful vector and great painting

You never cease to amaze me, Anja. I am so diggin' the purple-ness of everything!
The vector is pretty swish - I still can't believe you use GIMP to create all this, because you're work is comparable to stuff made with Photoshop CS2. :o
I actually really like the simple background, and I think it's marvelously done. Plus, it's purple, so that's a plus. P=
Great job as usual, Anja. *is jealous of smoke-painting skills*

Tilted screeeen~! I like the fact that you took the scan and put it at an angle for the wallpaper. It feels very fitting for the image you. I love how the background has a very satin-look to it- it really makes the piece darker and sexier that way. Very nicely done ^_^
I still appreciate Sailor Moon for ever introducing me to anime, though I think a lot of what has been coming out lately is pretty blah. I've been going back and watching older shows with my sister and feeling nostalgic XD

This is a good image indeed, it goes to show that you don't need revealing images to make a seductive wallpaper.
What struck me, aside from the simplicity (which is very welcome), is the smoothness. Also, the way you vectored and painted the scan makes it look powerful and delicate at the same time.
Adding this to my favorites, keep up the good work! A really good addition to the group's gallery :) -
Wow. I've always been somewhat disturbed by Dark Lady, since Chibi Usa tries to seduce her own father in that guise... This wall is amazing. Great work!

OMG I LOVE THIS SCAN OF HER and im sooo happy you vectored it. i cant say those were the colors that i imagined her in, and its kind of odd seeing it in color form since i always imagined her dress being black. great painting and i am adding you to my watchlist. you are so amazing =D
