Another SZS wall from you! The texture adds a nice, rustic touch to it, and goes well with the old-fashioned light fixtures, the circular gold frame as well as the warm glow. I like the Japanese wave pattern on the futon too! Vector is as clean as always.. Now, for the nitpicking (Sorry).
While I like the sunlight filtering through and the glow from the light bulb, the rest of the room's lighting could do
with a little fix.. The paper window doesn't quite look like light's shining through it.. A gradient perhaps? And maybe
some shadows of foliage or something so it looks like it's actually daytime out there.
Where the light hits Sensei's hair, there ought to be some bright streaks, to complement the look. Likewise with the
huge gramophone (is that what's it's called?) Give the gold a little gleam, and shadows behind it, on the wall, since
the sunlight's coming from the opposite direction.. That means the shadow underneath it will have to be adjusted, I'm
afraid.. And there should be shadows underneath the music holders too, though I can't blame you since the scan didn't
have them..
All in all, the extra sunlight gives it the homey, relaxed feel I think you were going for. But then that means shadows
and all that have to follow suit..
Still, yes, I get the message. See, even a depressed guy like Sensei can sit back and relax when there's soothing music to listen to. :)
By the way, the Shouji link is off.. Just to let you know..
Good job, considering the scan! ^^ See you!
