Yes, it is VERY colorful. I actually didn't intend it to be so... colorful perky hyper mode-ness. It just turned out this way? I guess it fits them perfectly since Maru and Moro are very happy girls. XD

This is my second attempt at making wallpapers. So I'm not very confident about it. >_< I think it turned out ok... I might have OD too much on the background. :<

Everything in this image, besides the patterns, is vectored.The smoke stream came from xxxHoLic's first season OP. I originally had a vector of it but I lost the PSD so I had to re-vector it again. ;-; I vectored the butterflies from these scans.

My initial design was having the smoke lace around them, insert a few patterned butterflies, a horizontal line background, and a shadow of Watanuki. After going through countless background designs, I liked this one the most. It's kind of hard to see some of the smoke since both that and the bg are pretty light. I tried fixing it by making the bg slightly darker, but it's just not the same when it's darker. So I just left it the way it is.

Total time is around 4-5 hours... It might be a lot more than that but I wasn't really keeping track since I was doing this on and off through out the day. There's probably some errors. I rushed through this mostly and I didn't have much motivation going on.

    Wow! Great wallpaper! I was attracted by it in the moment I put my eyes in the thumbnail. Happens it's way better full viewed!
    Good job in the vectoring. Not only the girls, but the butterflies and Watanuki as well. I loved the colors you've chosen and the patterns you've put in the butterflies. They look relly good. I also like the background. I don't think you over did it. It looks amazing!
    I agree with you that the atmosphere you've created in the wall suits Maru and Moro very well. It's very cheerful and radiant!
