Ok.. uhm.. I know title song from gundam and wall from reborn = no no, but.. oh.. well...
First of all... I really want to point out that the bg is not just a stock blurred. It took forever to repaint it and I was quite surprised myself of how well it turned out. I also used brushes and everything, so i didn't just place the stock and.. splash.
Hibari is like.. awesome hot and that scan of him is totally insane, I repainted him as well, although it doesn't really show. I suppose the texture is guilty for that.
Anyway, I blurred the bg so as to make Hibari stand out in all his awesomeness.
And of course, the best version is the widescreen one.. Anyway, imagine he's lonely and depressed on this sad little bridge and you're going there to comfort him =) . . .

I really like this wall. It has something that draws me to it.
Hibari looks really good, just as you pointed out, and honestly, the background is very well done.
I think the texture is too much though... Do you have a textureless one? I'd love to use it as my desktop. -

I was just hopping from page to page until I saw this. You actually repainted him? It looks just as good as the scan! I love the highlights and soft yet warm tones on his skin.. and his hair is just too cool, all windswept like that!
The background is all soft and I like that light blue-green tinge you gave to the sky.. Blurring the background was a good idea too; give all the attention to Hibari! :D My only complaint is that the outline at his lips are a little odd since they aren't following the shape..
I'm not much a fan of Hibari (I've only started reading the manga recently) but I have to say that I like this wall, textures and all! Superb job with the repainting! Can't believe no one has really commented on that.. Should have been what stood out at once, shouldn't it?
I'll be keeping an eye out for your work next time.. Not in a stalker-ish way, of course. XD See you! -
