Artist Comment

This is my first ever vector. And it took me a while~
I think I spent around five hours, maybe more on this vector. x)
I did this mainly because someone requested it this morning, and I felt like doing something other than the usual wallpapers. =]

The original scan I used is here: kira & lacus in summer by aey21

I used about 30 layers, mainly as I had one for the lines, and then one for each of the different sections of colours, ie. skin, eyes, hair.

It was lots of fun to do ,although the hardest thing was most definately the pattern on Lacus' kimono, as the scan was slightly pixalated and blurred, thus I had to elaborate and simplify the original design.
The pattern on Kira's clothes is not the same one as there was, but is a stripe pattern instead, as it would have taken me ages to recreate the actual pattern ^^;
The bottom of her kimono was also faded to black, so I had to patch it up. x]
