This is dedicated to my friend Osiris. (Late b-day present sorri)
Actually i was going for a red autumn setting here for the Popotan character but i kinda changed the colors and got the inspiration from one of Osi's walls and the color scheme from Jinzhou. The scan comes from Kei / thedarkness from GFXart and kinda gave it the lonely but sad fell in this wall. Got the title from Evanescence's song "My Immortal" cos it fits; Lots of overlaying, gaussian blurs, brushes, smudging and texturized it because literally the scan was that cleaned up cos i was lazy so had to cover it up and all together it came what i wanted it to do.
Esecially the white figure duplicate of her near the text! ^ ^

Who cares... just wanted to portray her as the angel of light figure and that she is the assumed savior who will save the fallen one. Thus Love prevails among hate and evil.

I wouldn't use that coarse paper texture, but it's still a hq wallpaper.
To danoz: Use NeatImage Pro (get it on eMule) to remove the texture - define it as "noise" and it will be automatically removed preserving other details.

Good thing that you changed the colour scheme in the end. Blue is perfect because it gives the whole sad & lonely feeling which you were trying to portray. I find no problems with your "Funny border insignias?" Thingie Anyway it's flawless imo. :)
Guess all your hardwork really paid off. Job well done. :D

that is really nice!! i like how its all done in different shades of one color - monochromatic i believe thats the word for it, not sure tho ^^;
the text part looks perfect.. the duplicated image of her looks great!!
i also like the border in the upper left and bottum right.. adds a nice touch to the over all appreance :D
