For the Summer themed contest over at doujinshi-support-club

I had a lot of fun drawing this one. It really took me back to my childhood days ;o; For the contest, we simply had to draw something with a summer theme. I hope mine is recognizable enough as a summer drawing since it's not chicks in swim suits or anything. XD For me, summer really reminds me of my childhood days and when I used to go outside and play with all the kids xD Our dumb little games. But now that everyone's grown up and gone, I miss those memories ;o;

So the concept is that children need to hold on to their memories of playing out in summer :D (pocketed memories) The memories in the drawing are illustrated as the abstract flow coming out of her pocket x3

Textures this time came from my amazing pal, Michee chan.

I have my college orientation tomorrow. I'm nervous ;o;

    i like it D: your drawings are never fail to amaze me D: i want to hate you but i cant xD anyway, for the hot summer the colours is a bit dull, it needs more contrast i think :3 BUT IT STILL AWESOME D: i love the sun <3

    I think it's recognizable as a summer doujinshi. :D
    (I mean, there's a huge happy sun. )

    The drawing's awesome, so creative as usual. :D
    I love this one so much, and yeah, that's the way summers are really, how I feel them to be, to be a kid just having fun. I love it, fills me with happy feelings.

    I understand what you mean, when I was a child we'd be outside doing dumb stuff almost every day, running around in the forest, trying too catch chicken, playing with my grandparents dogs etc. I miss my childhood but memories are all you get to keep sadly.
    As for your drawing I think it's great and it actually reminds me how much I liked dresses and pink when I was little (don't tell anyone XD).
    That sun's really adorable and why exactly is it that I can't fight the urge too fav your simple styled drawings? DX
    Oh well.

    It's really fun and adorable. I enjoyed the idea of sun balloon and the flowy thing out of the pocket. It's really cool, and the frame looks nice too. I really like how the textures and the right choice of colours give life to the artwork, considering the simple line art without much shading and details. You did another awesome job, anyway. ^^

    Really nice and cute idea, and you've skillfully laid it out on paper. I love her dress, and the flowers in the bush (they look like paper flower). Your coloring is kinda soft (not so flashy for a summer theme), but still fitting the mood and the sunny expression of the girl !

    Thumbs up :D

    PS btw, her face is colored... i guess a white face wouldn't fit the theme though !
