Byakuya Kuchiki, OK started as a sketch and wash but I ended up doing some clean up and color wash in Photoshop. Mixed media is closer to the truth.

Wow, I love the detail in his hair, how you defined the strands and gave it texture ^__^ Also, love the expression on his face, and in his eyes ^^ nice work!
Waaaaa- she returns! Love, LOVE how you did his hair... and his eyes. You really gave them that icy glare. Something about his face seems almost... feminine. I'm not sure if it's just too narrow or something, but then again... Byakuya does kinda look feminine in the anime.
Lovely job
on this one SpiritOnParole and I can't wait to see the next one!
you did a great job,the eyes are beautiful, you manage to give a special softness to the picture. the folds on his clothes should me more accentuated(darker, thicker, singular lines) where the light doesn't reach, and thiner in brighter areas.also,on his forehead,on the right side, the hair "starts" a little too far,it gives an impression of baldness on that side oh the head.
keep it
going.
but it remains a beautiful fanart
Absolutely stunning work. For something that started out as a sketch, this is something that I personally would like to see placed in a frame and hung somewhere really predominate in my living room. That clear and icy look within his eyes almost brings Byakuya alive in my mind.
As a fan of detail, I sound like I am beating a dead horse with saying this, but the structure of his hair and the quality of work done to each strand was probably a labour of love that I couldn't help to marvel of for a few moments. However, what I found sold the image to me, in terms of detail, is that you went far enough to place teeth within the slight purse of his lips which I find to be a nice touch that just finishes him off.
I am pleased to have seen this and hope to see more in the future. Thanks for sharing... ^_^
wow beautiful! The shading is so lovely, especially in the eyes and hair! Amazing work!
Really wonderful job! Like everyone's said... great work with his hair and giving it such a 3 dimensional look. Also, the look in his eyes is done really well. They are so cold, but yet somewhat soft inside. Looks awesome. ^^ Thanks for sharing! +fav
