FULL VIEW PLEASE! TEXTURES MUST BE SEEN TO MAKE WALLPAPER.... GOOD... or something (it's free anyway...)
This is another Minimal-ism entry by me! o:
It's also a tribute to the future group headed by Anja, Ori-chan, Pande, and I. I still need to start it though... >.>
So anyway.... I've always wanted to do a wallpaper soley dedicated to the awesome force of music. At first, I wanted to do something more serious with this Beck scan I found.... somewhere (forgot :sweat:), but the strings were a pain in the ass to line, so I pretty much said "screw it". Then I thought of an idea. What if I got rid of his strings as if someone stole them? Okay, now I need an ugly little chibi guy running off with some strings. BINGO, we use Crayon Shin-chan and it's instant win, yes? Make guitarist boy (never seen Beck, hehe) all angry and we got ourselves a wallpaper idea!
For the color scheme, I wanted to use colors that I associate with the whole Indy genre. I think I pulled it off pretty well (what do you all think?). I then used various textures and patterns in different areas, but not in all. I also left the boys skin and eyes uncolored, because I think it looks better that way. You know, something like this could make an awesome album cover. XD
Even though I wanted to give it an Indy feel to it, I wasn't listening to anything close to Indy music when I was working on this. When I started lining the vector, I was listening to some David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust days. The color-scheme I got from that was some yellows and browns. Then I started listening to some Alice Cooper, KISS, and Aerosmith. I have no idea how those blokes inspired this....

Fullview really made this a lot better :) great textures and I like the colours too (even though I still dislike pink officially). Somehow I think the line Shin is standing on should be running through completely to give it some sense of depht (or something like that ~_~).
Ha, I love funny wallies, those damned kids always messing things up. *shakes fist*
Actually it would be cool as a group layout not totally appropriate but kinda... fun. -

Lol, yes. Shin Chan is the freaking man....boy....ugly boy. I have to say though, I feel bad for that guitarist, because I bet Shin's going to go floss his butt with those guitar strings...or something involving his butt.
Getting back to the wallpaper, nice job on it. Music is life so I like your motive behind making it. I like your color choice and of course, the textures are splendid. Nice work! :)
